For the September 15, 2016 dedication of George W. Bush Elementary in Wylie, Texas, I was given the opportunity to help create a display honoring the 3,023 people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, as well as a set of metal prints bearing the president's quote from the National Day of Prayer and Rememberance Service on September 14, 2001.
After several typographic explorations in search of a typeface and treatment that was both regal and impressive to match former President Bush's quote, Adobe's Garamond provided the visual voice with a brass/gold embossed look. Each word in this phrase was split into 6" tall metal print using a sublimation method.
